After it was announced that St. Lucia Stars will no longer participate in the Caribbean League, which aroused strong opposition from the owners.
"CPL Limited has no reason, legally or otherwise, to suspend the contractual rights to work with the St Lucia Stars, we dispute the CPL's decision and use every means to justify our rights", reads the press release.
Four days ago, it was announced that CPL Limited had suspended a joint venture with Royal Sports Club, LLC working with St. Lucia Stars.
The reasons why CPL Limited terminated the deal have not been announced yet, but it has been announced that the new franchise called St. Lucia Zouks ** will replace the Star of the Match of 1999. Incidentally, the Zouks have has been the name of the St Lucia franchise since 2017 since its creation in 2013.
The Stars, however, are ready to leave the power to the team. "It is an attempt to harass us, openly and stupidly, we are confident in our position and we look forward to keeping the case against CPL illegally in the courts," he said in a press release.
