Brendon McCullum has been named President and CEO of the Kolkata Knight Rider. This follows the departure of Jacques Kallis, who has been working in the region since October 2015.
McCullum scored two goals as a player with KKR in the Indian Premier League between 2008 and 2000 and again in the 2012-13 season. His involvement in the franchise is far from over, having played for Trinbago Knight Rider in the Caribbean Premier League.
"It's a great honor to take on this role," said McCullum, who recently announced his retirement as an actor. The Knight Rider franchise in IPL & CPL was iconic and she put that balance in franchise cricket. We have a very good race at KKR & TKR and the technical support staff will be looking to build on the success of all the exciting franchises, "he added.
KKR has also canceled an agreement with Simon Katich, former assistant coach, but his replacement deserves attention.
